Been a minute.  Been traveling.  Speaking of which, my homeskillet, DJ Wordy, recently got back from his first trip to NYC (first trip to the US!) and sent me this lil’ video from his GF1 camera.  

Dayam I miss NYC!

Coming from a city like NYC to Beijing, it’s been a pleasant surprise to see some even more next level cross-pollination of cultures.  

Exhibit A: Jamel Mims, Fulbright Scholar.  Hailing from Washington DC, dude speaks waaaaay better Mandarin than you (probably) and me.  I got to know Jamel when he was living in Beijing last year and rolling with the local Beijing hip hop heads. 

He’s now back in NYC and is currently debuting his exhibition, The Misadventures of Emcee Tingbudong, at the Azucarera Gallery on 415 W. 145th St.  

Oh and some of Jamel’s *super incredible pictures* featured in Complex Magazine’s online entity.  Ha!
